
Intrinsically Safe 3-Color LED Beacon
Three independently switchable colors — red, yellow, green — in a compact 37×75 mm brass housing. IP67 fully potted, M28×1.5 thread, approved for ATEX Zones 0/1/2 and 20/21/22. The intrinsically safe LED signal lamp for hazardous areas where space, wiring effort, and certification are all on the table at once.
A three-color stack of individual lamps means three housings, three cable glands, three separate ATEX approvals, and three sets of wiring in the Ex zone. The DKL01 delivers the same result in one housing — one bore, one cable entry, one seal.
In airlocks, on control cabinet doors, and at the face of compact equipment there simply is not space for a column. The DKL01's Ø 37 mm body fits any standard bore or off-the-shelf M28 cable gland.
Color combinations are freely selectable on order — no other manufacturer in this segment offers that. Standard is red/yellow/green; further combinations on request with typically one week additional lead time.
The DKL01 is certified under the intrinsic safety protection concept (Ex ia). This means: under normal operation, under one fault, and under two simultaneous faults, the electrical energy available for ignition is kept below the ignition level. A separation stage on the safe side (Zener barrier, isolating signal converter, or intrinsically safe power supply) is mandatory for operation in the Ex zone. Supply parameters Un = 24 V DC / Ui = 30 V DC must be observed.
Note: A Zener barrier as a passive solution requires a clean intrinsically safe earth (IS earth). Isolating signal converters are galvanically isolated and are generally more convenient to wire.
